40-Acre Farmstead with Spacious Farmhouse & Excellent Outbuildings! Looking for room to spread out, enjoy country living, or start your own hobby farm? This 40-acre property offers a solid 2,421 sq. ft. farmhouse, mostly open former farmland, and some outstanding outbuildings! The 4 bedroom, 1.5-bath home is in good condition and offers plenty of space, including a large first-floor bedroom with double closets, a nice-sized dining room, convenient first-floor laundry, and a full Michigan basement. The home has forced-air propane heat, and the roof, windows, and siding are approximately 10 years old, with the furnace approximately 11 years old. The home was modified to accommodate main-floor living, with no interior stairs needed for everyday living on the main level. Upstairs, you'll find additional bedrooms and a large half bath, along with an open area that could potentially be reconfigured into a family room or upstairs living space as they were using it as a 5th large bedroom but have to walk through the corner to get to the rest of the bedrooms. Some updating and remodeling is needed upstairs. The outbuildings are a real highlight! The attached heated garage has also been used as additional living space and is 24x24 area. A separate, insulated and heated 28x28 garage/workshop is in excellent condition and has an attached 12x24 lean-to with room for a vehicle. You'll also appreciate the impressive 40' x 56' pole building with a cement floor and 10-foot doors at both ends. A separate well house is located near the pole building. Outside, approximately 40 acres offer mostly open fields that were once farmed, with some woods along the east side of the property. Apple and pear trees add to the country setting, while the covered front porch and side-entry porch provide welcoming places to enjoy the outdoors. Whether you're looking for a hobby farm, a country homestead, room for equipment and projects, or simply a spacious home with acreage, this property offers plenty of possibilities. Home is going to have an auction in November on most of the personal items in the home so please don't mind the clutter.
