From Office Complex to Mixed‑Use Icon
Built in the mid‑20th century to serve Detroit’s booming business sector, the three‑tower Executive Plaza once housed data‑processing for a major corporation and later sat largely vacant. In 2023, Blackacre Management acquired the 10‑acre site and announced plans to convert the 613 000 sq ft property into approximately 335 apartments, a 115‑room hotel and about 35 000 sq ft of retail and commercial space by 2028. The redevelopment promises to inject new life into the area while preserving the site’s architectural footprint.
